Éric Suraud has been elected as a member of the Academia Europaea, a nomination announced by the academy on the 1st September 2014 (see a list of French members on Wikipédia (Fr)).

Éric Suraud, is a professor at the Université Paul Sabatier, and works at the LPT since 1992. He is also an active member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF Senior laureate in 2010, after being a Junior IUF laureate in 1994), and an adjunct professor at the State University of New York (SUNY), since 2013.
